ABOUT US

For two decades

The Barbados Photographic Society (BPS) has been a vibrant hub for local photography enthusiasts, fostering creativity and celebrating the unique island through the lens. Established in 2003, this non-profit organization has steadily built a community of passionate amateur and professional photographers, providing a platform for learning, sharing, and showcasing their art.
The 20th-anniversary exhibition, “20 Years of Light,” which opened on January 13th, 2024  at the Queen’s Park Gallery, was a testament to the journey and diversity of photographer voices within the BPS.
The BPS actively engages with the wider community. We share our passion for photography through outreach programs and collaborations, inspiring future generations and raising awareness of the art form’s potential. In doing so, we contribute to the cultural fabric of Barbados, preserving its beauty and stories through the captivating medium of photography.
