I started having an interest in photography in the early 70s when I was given a Vivitar 110 camera.

I saw it at the time as a very wholesome hobby and loved the results. Photography for me is a hobby and a means of relaxation but at the same time allows me to be able to capture the world around me for posterity. I like to capture scenes and spaces, buildings, events and portraits. Scenes, events, spaces and buildings give me a sense of history and allow me to be able to look back and see what was and probably what is possible in the future.  Photography for me is also fun but can be a very good source of information.   I aspire to be as good a photographer as I can be and look forward to the day when I can enter and make a mark in an international competition.
