Cheryl McCollin-Walker

I began my photographic journey in 2004, initially as a playful challenge from my family. Over the years, my passion for photography has blossomed, with a particular focus on abstract, portrait, still life, and black and white photography. I have received national recognition having earned a Gold Award and multiple Silver and Bronze Awards at the National Independence Festival of Creative Arts through the years.

My current profession has honed my ability to connect with people and create a relaxed atmosphere during photo shoots. This skill is invaluable in portrait photography, where genuine emotions and natural expressions are key. The power of black and white photography intrigues me with its ability to highlight the essence of a scene, stripping away distractions and revealing underlying beauty. Additionally, the search for patterns and compositions in everyday life fuels my interest in abstract photography.
